Thank you for your interest in writing an article for Simply Mary Kate. Your interest in contributing to the site means a lot to me.

We would love to share your thoughts with our audience. Here are a few things to know about submitting an article for publication on our site:

1. Not all submissions are selected for publication. We receive many contributions from writers. The process is selective. There is no guarantee that your submission will be published.  

2. All articles are subject to editing. We may change the title, and add or edit subheadings, include internal and/or external links, or edit the writing for grammar, style, or other issues. We also add one or more images to all articles.

3. Subject matter must be relevant to our audience. Relevant topics include personal essays about your experiences with simple living, intentional living, sustainable living, and minimalism. We also accept articles about personal growth and development related to simplifying your way to a happier and more meaningful life. Articles not related to these topics will be rejected.

4. Articles should contain between 800 and 1,000 words. While we occasionally accept longer articles, we are primarily interested in articles that meet the word limit listed above.

5. We do not pay for articles. We will promote the article on our Facebook page and in our weekly email. Where appropriate, we may also promote the article on our Pinterest account.

We do not accept previously published work. We only publish newly written articles. Please do not submit articles you have published elsewhere.

 

Include a 2-3 sentence bio with your submitted article.
